The Notorious 'Last Ever Iggy & The Stooges Show'!
'METALLIC K.O.' is Iggy & The Stooges classic, memorable recording of the Stooges confrontational last ever gig. Digitally re-mastered with two extra tracks, it is now re-issued by Jungle as a 2-CD set for the first time.
First released in 1976 while Iggy was in limbo 3 years after 'Raw Power', the sound of a kamikaze Iggy provocatively abusing his audience and dodging eggs and bottles thrown by a biker gang confirmed Iggy's reputation in the embryonic punk scene as a Punk Godfather, as well as six new songs giving a glimps of what a fourth Stooges album would have sounded like.
Jungle went back to Skydog's 1/4" tapes and found the album was originally taken from two shows ('73 and '74), with extra tracks found on the actual last show. Re-mastered with the two gigs on separate discs and a drastically improved sound, so much more can now be heard on this compelling recording. Packaged with a 12 page embossed booklet containing contemporaneous quotes from Iggy, Giovanni Dadomo and Nick Kent, it's a must for any Iggy fan.
